Dear Friends, Celebrate: to show happiness that something good or special has happened. Our Something from the Heart Campaign is a celebration of this community’s support of its neighbors. Due to your support of the Needs Council over the past 28 years, many good and special people’s lives have been blessed. People come to the Needs Council fearful, often in despair. Some need a little help with a winter utility bill. Others require more long term assistance with budgeting, counseling, or advice on leaving an abusive relationship. One of Steve Jobs’ quotes a few days before he died was, “Love is like a puzzle, hard to piece together, but beautiful when all the right pieces are put together.” I believe the Needs Council is an excellent example of that puzzle of love. This organization attempts to put some very intricate pieces together on a daily basis. Clients come to us with broken pieces. Staff and volunteers listen and guide them in mending the repairable and gathering new ones to replace the broken.
