3,166 Gillespie County residents were assisted in 2011.
Of the households assisted 25% were senior citizen.
Financial Assistance
Volunteers meet with clients requesting emergency assistance, i.e. housing, utilities, child care, gasoline, medical (medications, medical procedures, dental, hearing, and vision). The Ministerial Association monies help with funding.
Counseling
Provided by licensed counselors, English and Spanish speaking.
Parenting
Upon completion of the “Parenting with Love and Logic” class parents receive assistance with child care.
